The PuriFresh® Fresh-Air System combines the unsurpassed performance of the PuriFresh® Window-Mounted Energy Recovery Ventilator with that of the PuriFresh® Clean Room: o it exhausts an ample flow of stale air from the room to the outdoors; o it delivers a slightly greater flow of fresh air from the outdoors to the room, conditioned by the unsurpassed heat and moisture (energy) exchange of the PuriFresh® Energy Recovery Ventilator with the exhaust air; o before any of the fresh air can enter the room, it forces that air through a commercial grade, single pass, true-HEPA filter, removing at least 99.97% of all particles 0.3 microns or greater; o
it also HEPA filters
the air in the room to remove particulates generated within the room. The PuriFresh® Fresh-Air System provides a haven for people
with allergies or asthma, delivering 3 to 5 air changes per hour of pure
fresh air to a typical bedroom. The Energy Recovery performance of the
System is so great that your room will remain comfortable even on the most
extreme weather days. The PuriFresh® Fresh-Air System is very efficient, using
high-efficiency PSC motors in both the ERV and the Clean Room. The System only consumes a maximum of 85
Watts. The PuriFresh® Fresh-Air System is very quiet. The PuriFresh® Fresh-Air Duct
Adapter covers the PuriFresh® ERV, acting like a muffler. You will easily sleep with the product
right next to you in your bedroom. There are times when you don’t want the Energy Recovery. For example, on a summer evening when it
happens to be cool and dry outside from a weather change and still warm
inside from the hot day. Simply turn
off the PuriFresh® ERV and cover the stale-air opening. That cool dry air will be drawn directly into
the room by the PuriFresh® Clean Room. Unlike opening a window, however, the fresh air is passed
through the true-HEPA filter before entering. The PuriFresh® Fresh Air System, provides the ultimate in
clean, fresh, conditioned air, available nowhere else. Fresh air, conditioned to a high level of
efficiency by heat and moisture recovery (energy recovery), is scrubbed of
virtually all particles by a single-pass, commercial grade true-HEPA filter.
The PuriFresh® Fresh Air
System also acts like a console HEPA filter, taking additional room air,
passing it through the HEPA filter, and returning it to the room. The graph below shows the reduction in air particles in an 11 ft. x
15½ ft. bedroom with an 8 ft. ceiling as a function of time. The bedroom windows and door were
closed. Initially, there were nearly
one million particles per cubic foot, of particles 0.3 μ or greater. In 90 minutes, the particle count has
reached a steady state of ~ 12,700 particles per cubic foot, less than 1.4%
of the original value! Nothing special was done to seal the room. The bedroom is in a 55 year-old house with hot water heat. The windows are double hung and are at
least 25 years old. The outside
temperature was around 20º F, while the inside temperature was around 68º
F. Both the PuriFresh® ERV
and the PuriFresh® Clean Room were on their highest flow. If you are impressed with this level of clean fresh
air in a bedroom on a cold winter day, without any significant cooling of the
room and only using 85 Watts of power, then buy you system today!!! |
